Succulent Kalanchoe 'Flap Jack'

Meet my little Flap Jack! This succulent is as cute as a button and easier to care for than a cactus. Here's how you can keep your Flap Jack happy and thriving:

Lighting

Flap Jack loves bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can be too harsh, so find a spot with plenty of natural light but not directly in the sun's rays. East or west-facing windows are perfect!

Watering

Water your Flap Jack sparingly! Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of death in succulents, so it's better to err on the side of caution. Water at the base of the plant, avoiding the leaves to prevent rot.

Humidity

Flap Jack doesn't mind dry air, but a little humidity never hurts. If you live in a very dry climate, you might consider setting the plant on a tray with pebbles and water to create a microclimate. Just be sure the plant isn't sitting in water!

Soil

Use a well-draining cactus mix for your Flap Jack. This type of soil is designed to prevent waterlogged soil and root rot. You can also make your own mix using sand, perlite, and regular potting soil.

Fertilizer

Feed your Flap Jack during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Dilute the fertilizer to half the recommended strength to avoid burning the roots.

Temperature

Keep your Flap Jack in an area with consistent temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). Avoid placing the plant near drafts, air conditioning vents, or extreme temperatures.

That's it! With these simple care instructions, you'll be enjoying your Flap Jack succulent for years to come. Happy planting, my dears!
